A name born of exploration
The name PYTHEVS is inspired by Pytheas of Massalia, the renowned Greek explorer, navigator, scientist and merchant of the fourth century BC.
At a time when most believed the known world ended at the Pillars of Hercules, Pytheas sailed beyond familiar horizons in search of new trade routes, new markets and new knowledge.
His courage, curiosity and determination transformed understanding of the world and demonstrated that opportunity often exists beyond conventional boundaries.
